Multisensory Rooms

Multisensory Rooms are designed to stimulate all five senses. Different equipment is utilised to target the different senses whilst creating a relaxing and soothing experience. They are used as a therapeutic space with full control of the ambience to suit individual needs of each user.

These spaces are an essential resource for many different settings. These can include special and mainstream education. But due to the inclusive nature of multi-sensory rooms they are also now being found in leisure, health and social care settings.

In a safe and calm setting, users are able to explore their surroundings, building confidence, independence and social awareness. The equipment used is great for developing visual, auditory and tactile processing and is great for hand-eye coordination, gross and fine motor skills and self-regulation.
