Work started at the beginning of May on this beautiful sensory garden in London at Willow Dene School in Plumstead. The work carried out by Sensory Technology including full construction of both hard and soft landscaping with a sprinkle of the usual interactive sensory garden features including musical jumping jets, sound spots, interactive animal sound features and interactive stainless steel sphere.
The Sensory Garden has had to be coordinated around the main building contractors on the site, with the school due to be handed over for the beginning of September we are now doing the final touches to the system. The first phase which commenced at the beginning of May was to get the vast majority of the hard landscaping constructed prior to the area becoming land locked by a new link corridor. We then had a six week gap between that phase and this final phase of the project.
Already the garden has been well received by the school, and both children and staff alike are excited about their new sensory garden area. We will post the completed images of the job on the website later in the year but here are some taster for you of the area as it stands in the final stages.
